opening

i started my opening background like this:

worked on it and came up with this:

then worked on it a little more and came up with this!

i am pretty happy with the way it turned out, but it definitely sets the standard for what the rest of the film should look like. there are still a few kinks that need fixing. the title text will be over where the sun is. i don't think everything will be this detailed. 

i think the reason i am spending all this time on backgrounds is because i am terrified to start animating! but i did make a list of every specific action and layout so i do know what i am in for.
