resum-ay time

here's the third version of my resume. i removed a lot of things that don't really pertain to anything professional (outback hostessing is not the kind of career path i am planning to wander). i suppose in the future i will remove the school involvement things, but i think they are important to include at this stage in the game.

there aren't enough real creative things in there. i feel like i'm stocked up on people skills and "yes sir"s and "no ma'ams".

also they're not renewing king of the hill. it's a shame because it was kind of a secret fantasy of mine to work on someday. it's okay that it's coming to an end though, because for a show like that to go on and not completely ruin itself is an absolute feat of feats. not even the simpsons or south park can claim that. the simpsons has been the trashiest of trash for over a decade now, which is heartbreaking because it was literally the perfect television show. south park has been losing its luster for a few seasons now, too. it's kind of ironic that as the animation got better, the overall quality of the show has just been lacking.

king of the hill has been consistently great even in its newer seasons. it is kind of losing its bite, but its changes are nowhere near as offensively terrible or as sudden as the simpsons. and the characters are still themselves - not weird, fanfiction-y, uncharacteristic, uncaring, unrelatable carbon copies.

by the way i feel inclined to nerd out about things like this because i intend to work in the field. it's not like i'm screaming at the walls in my parents' basement. i'm totally justified!

happy halloween!
